ABOUT
Heidi Lanino is a figurative abstract painter with a strong base in gestural drawing influenced by the transformative nature of movement. She creates work that embodies the freedom and sensuality of her subject with an intuitive immediacy.
She earned her BFA in 1989 from Pratt Institute and was the winner of the Pratt National Talent Search, receiving a full scholarship. As an art director for L’Oréal, she honed her aesthetic for beauty and design. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and abroad, represented in numerous private collections, and featured in several prominent institutions, including Orange Reginal Medical Center, Orange County Trust, the Blue Hill Center, The Gibbes museum, and SaatchiArt. Her artistic practice includes drawing, sculpture, ceramics, teaching and community installations. She lives and works in the Hudson Valley with her husband and two sons.
